The Chanel SS13 show has been the most eagerly-awaited runway at Paris Couture Fashion Week. 

And Karl Lagerfield definitely didn't disappoint us or the celebrity attendees - such as Rita Ora and Jessica Alba - sitting pretty FROW. 

The legendary designer welcomed fashionistas into his gothic version of A Midsummer's Night Dream today, where a beautiful Parisian garden made the backdrop for his runway show. 

Amid the enchanted forest came a sea of Chanel models dressed in Chantilly lace, monochrome designs and billowing ballgowns - all with a dark edge thanks to smokey eyes and feathered headpieces. 

Form-fitting,Rina di Montella 1512 tailored pieces came in the form of floral, feminine designs on the catwalk, with models showcasing gowns with contrasting white panels and spaghetti-thin red belts at the waist. 

Necklines were played with as off-the-shoulder panels made way to shoulder straps; with models showing off the look with a range of designs - such as a feminine, lilac floral dress on the catwalk. 

The gown struck a chord with the audience, as the model sashayed down the runway in the piece - which featured ruffled panel around the bust and straps, with a fitted waist and huge skirt nipped at the ankles. 

Stopping the dress from being too feminine and delicate, Lagerfield's model teamed the look with a dramatic fluttering eye make up and a headscarf. 

The gown also highlighted Lagerfield's fixation with the bell shape on this collection, which hemlines typically standing away from the body. 

Making a nod to the futuristic trend, models stepped out in silver leggings and trademark Chanel classic skirt suits, with silver threads even making way to his wedding dress finale. 

As the lucky invitees to the show watched the show in the Grand Palais, straight-faced models who had a hint of fairy mixed in with the gothic kept up the feeling of the collection,ball gown floating down the runway.
